Anastasios Traianos Joins Manchester Basketball Club Coaching Team

Aethlos Sports & Education Consulting Services is proud to announce that our director, Anastasios (Tasos) Traianos, has joined the coaching staff at Manchester Basketball Club in the British Super League Basketball (formerly the British Basketball League) in December 2024.
Anastasios returns to the professional stage in a coaching role after previously competing for two seasons with the Manchester Giants in the BBL. His appointment strengthens the leadership team under Head Coach Callum Jones, a former teammate from his playing days, and Associate Head Coach Matt Pitkin, who played a key role as part of the coaching staff that helped lead the London Lions to the EuroCup Women title last season.
Reflecting on his new role, Anastasios shared his enthusiasm for the opportunity:
"I am thrilled to be back at the professional level, this time as part of the coaching team. Callum and I played together for two seasons and had great chemistry on the court—we were like-minded, constantly pushing each other, and working toward a common goal. Now, as coaches, we bring that same shared vision and passion to the sidelines, striving to create the best environment for our players to succeed. The last couple of months have been both rewarding and challenging at times, but we have great belief in this team. There is immense talent here, and we will continue working hard to achieve our goals."
