The unveiling of a bust of Hippocrates, the ‘father of medicine,’ marked a historic occasion at the new £40m Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), located on the grounds of the Royal Bolton NHS Foundation Trust.
This prestigious event was graced by renowned figures, including Dr Antonios Polydorou MD and Dr Konstantinos Pantos MD of the Global Doctors’ Hippocratic Institute, alongside Professor George E. Holmes DL, Vice Chancellor of the University of Bolton. The event celebrated the University’s commitment to combining ancient wisdom with cutting-edge education, as they prepare to welcome their first cohort of MBChB Medicine students in September 2025.
